Method

  1. Cut the avocado in half. Remove the stone and skin, then place the flesh in a food processor.
  2. Add the banana, cocoa powder, and xylitol.
  3. Zest and juice the orange, then add both to the food processor.
  4. Blend until completely smooth and richly chocolatey. Adjust the sweetness or cocoa level to taste.
  5. For a variation, swap the orange for another flavour such as cinnamon or lemon zest.
  6. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses and chill until ready to serve.
